This really happened!

Post by Jun » 2004-09-30 12:25

Sent to me from a friend.
Ok, so the Bush family was yesterday on Dr. Phil show.....there's an article about it in the Post.com but I just copied you the last part....Here's a question that phil had about oral sex
IT'S A CLASSIC RESPONSE!!! TOO FUNNY

Dr. Phil: "If there was something you could say to the parents of America to give them the strength to hang in and go on; we've got epidemic levels of oral sex in the middle schools, we've got alcohol and 40 percent of eighth graders say they have access to drugs and alcohol if they want it. You used to go to the bad part of town, buy drugs on the corner; you get them now on the Internet with Mom sitting at the kitchen table with you and not knowing what you're doing. There are so many struggles. What we're hearing in music today, all of these things. So many parents don't know that there's a radio version and a non-radio version of some of this music. The first time I popped in one of those CDs that I'd heard on TV, it was just astounding . . . so what do you -- what's the advice you give them to hang on?"
There was just no way the first lady was going to let her husband answer a question that had the phrase "oral sex" in it and she jumped right in.
"I think that's the really hard part of parenting now and that is, how can you plan your life so that your children have the strength to make the right choices and to not choose the drugs or the alcohol?" she said.
Despite her best efforts, the president did take a whack at the question, noting that when he ran for governor of Texas in 1994, "one of the issues that I campaigned on . . . we were going to go after deadbeat dads and to make sure that they complied with their responsibility as a father, we were going to suspend their hunting and fishing licenses in the state of Texas."
And we know who has been a cocaine addict most of his life.

I'm sure most middle Americans prefer a leader who says "nuculer" rather than one who actually earned his degree at Harvard.

I didn't watch the debate and wasn't even interested. What were they going to say that would enlighten me? OTOH, I'd like to watch the Cheney--Edwards debate. It would be like watching Darth Vader -- so evil that it's entertaining.

Geez, Cava you put words in my mouth. I just did not care to waste time on predictable mundane fake unentertaining stuff like the presidential debate.

I prefer The [Emmy Award Winning] Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the online joke magazine The Onion. These are hilarious takes on politics, society, entertainment, life, and the stupidity of people in general.

I am kind of disappointed at John Kerry. The guy has no logic.

First he said "We should ensure our troops have best equipment, parents are buying gears for their sons in the army as Christmas gifts and that' not right." Then he said : " We spend too much money on this war". Hello???
Also, first he said "We shouldn't have gone into the war with international support, we should have gone in with stronger alliance." Then he suggested on North Korean Nuclear weapon issue "We should sit down and talk directly with North Korea" instead of the current strategy, which includes 6 parties, most importantly, China, in the conversation.

Man, I never had high expectations for Bush. But Kerry doesn't look like a nice alternative either. Good thing I can't vote anyway!

We're all going to hell in a handbasket.

u guys watching the vice-presidential debate? I am really wondering how come John Kerry won the nomination. This Edwards guy is really very very convincing and sincere, even when he was talking about non-existent plan

Law and Order/The Practice腔调。

Liar! Liar! Where ARE the WMDs??? Where ARE the nuclear weapons?!

I like Howard Dean too, and he really came out to oppose the Iraqi War. The problem is that the American people cannot handle genuine honest politicians. It makes me sick. No wonder Aaaanold was elected as the governor.

Howard Dean is so straight forward on most of the issues that they do not think he would actually have a chance. Snowball in hell.

People complain about politicians lie to them and blame their own low voter turnout on this, but they don't bother to find out about what's really going on and they cannot handle the truth. When someone comes out and TELL them the truth, they kick him down and laugh at him. No wonder U.S. politics is filled with lies and fakeness. NZ also has voluntary (versus mandatory) voting, but their voter turnout rate is above 80%.

I'm thinking about buying the new book by Jon Stewart and co. I hate news nowadays, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is the only place where they don't bullshit you.
