I'd suggest use VPN. Install a VPN app on cell phone, we use BetterNet, quite reliable, then you can access any website normally. Not only gmail. but also, google, youtube, twitter etc.
You have to install the app in US, esp for Android phone. Google Playstore is blocked in China.

打游戏挣钱估计不容易，中国有人雇便宜劳动力打游戏然后卖装备。人在北美不容易竞争这个吧，当然游戏高手除外。

话说我们家老二（男孩子）都很迷rainbow loom, 而且能自己看youtube自己follow。最近在吭哧吭哧地做hexafish, 说要给姐姐做手链.已经做了一周了，长度才一半。自己找了个hibacus flower tutorial, 做了一朵花给我，我挂包上了 :mrgreen:

We have similar rule, I just use my regular password, and add a number in the middle.

如果不会英语上夏令营最好还是找个同伴，不然娃会痛苦吧。去年夏天我家女儿的一个朋友就是带着自己的表哥（国内来的）一起上了一个月的夏令营。不过那个男生6年级了，肯定在国内也是学过些英文的。到这边来进步很快。

还有statue of liberty, 夏天傍晚晚上坐circle line cruise, 不花钱的话可以坐staten island ferry, 在河里看曼哈顿skyline感觉跟在高楼脚下走不一样。
met还有个部分叫cloisters, 在城边，修得像中世纪修道院，里面都是中世纪的艺术品。
去儿童博物馆的话，brooklyn children's museum很不错，liberty science center (在NJ，跟纽约隔一条河）有全美最大的dome theater.

我也是在中国鼻炎了二十余年，每次感冒完鼻子都要拖很久才好。
到美国好像慢慢就好了。我怀疑是空气质量有关，小时候别的季节不说，冬天我们家乡烧煤取暖的时候，空气真是差啊。春秋风沙又大，也就是比现在经常雾霾好一些吧。

我最近跟同事结伴三次了。POWERBALL涨到四百多密林终于出赢家了，可惜跟我们没啥关系。 :cry: :cry: 我真是又不想带娃又不想上班，恨不能直接退休算了。 带娃也不是不好，不过开学了真是累啊。学校每天都有事情带回来，签字啊，email啊，back to school night啊。其实还是daycare最好，一般不给家长找事。 对我来说带娃最美好的时光是夏天带着娃们出去玩，野营骑车游泳什么的，没娃估计老公不会陪我做这些事。 当然我不是做主妇的料，做了主妇肯定得去学校帮忙，我女儿班里room parents就是三个妈妈，爱管事的妈妈有的是啊。 我们结伴买彩票去吧。 :mrgreen:

纽约的公共交通真的是比在城里自己开车方便多了。再说车保险又很贵，停车要么贵要么麻烦，有养车刚需的纽约人真不多。
现在zipcar很发达很方便，城里人好多都用这个。

Talking about "鸡毛蒜皮的小破事儿", my husband got a ticket in NJ, for having those ad paper on his windshield. Cop said "it is potentially blocking your view". And there is just a fine on the ticket, no court date, nothing, so we had no other choice but to pay. :worthy:

我星期四在Garden State Parkway一家还开门的加油站加油，足足排了四个小时的队。。。
现在实行了单数双数加油，开门的加油站也多了些，一般队伍没有那么长了。

在中国的，厨房装修用德国橱柜常听人讲啊，没听说谁用了就砸锅卖铁的。怎么在美国就这么贵。
I think that's because kitchen in China is usually much smaller than kitchen in US.

I read gardenweb forum from time to time, and the people there usually use brand name cabinets for those who listed what they use.

We went there around 2001. The NPs we visited are Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Arches, Yellow Stone and Grand Teton. All parks are very good. We didn't do much hiking, mostly 1-3 hour hikes. 我以前工作的地方也爱搞这个，大家匿名所以真的送什么礼物的都有。。
我记得的印象深的包括，CDR一盒，USB drive一个（bar code被剪掉了，所以大概是FAR), 不是全新的planner一本。
我家里现存的cake stand一个就是这个活动换来的，很符合那个家里不要的东西的原则。。。

Yes, 山西博物院 is pretty good. The AC is very strong so it's really nice to visit in summer. But my younger child got bored very quickly in there, so we didn't get to spend more time. And it's hard to find a taxi when coming out of it.

When my old company has to store regulatory reports, we have to save them for 7 years. We use a company called iron mountain, and suppose it's on tape. Of course I never know what device they really store them on.

Thomas series trains are not too hard to identify, everyone has a number (Thomas is No1 btw), and everyone has its name on the body. But still, kids can tell them apart more easily. You can check lego website, for pricing. They don't have any promotion usually (or I haven't heard any), so what you see from the website is probably very close to the price you can get.

I think you can't simply say that their "default机率算得过小".

AIG (and all other IBs) definitely considers the risk of default, and usually there is risk system to simulate all kinds of situation. But current situation is probably worse than any person (system) can imagine. :verysad:

Talking about Lotion for winter, strongly recommend Cetaphil cream. Just over $10 for a big jar in Costco, no fragrance, and it really works. I apply liberally to my kids every night now. Better than Cetaphil lotion, Aveeno lotion, and Eucerin calming lotion.

我最近听来这样的说法(是我躺在产床上听医生和护士闲聊的结果, ft ah ft), 因为美国医院是不能拒绝接受病人要求治疗的, 好些南美的人就直接飞到纽约, 下了飞机打车就上医院, 直接说我有什么什么病, 必须马上给我手术. 医院只能给他作手术, 做完了人家也就走了. 医院要钱都没地要去....都是俺们纳税人的钱那.
还有象纽约呀加州呀这些比较liberal的地方, 因为查得不严, 很多人隐瞒asset, 挺有钱的还用着medicare. 说是开着BMW拿着medicare card去看病.

我就是母乳很少的, 我吃得不少奶不多, 都自己长身上了. 老大吃了一点点, 然后就是formula喂了, 可是她也是头一年都没有生过病 (一直在家里带倒是). 配方奶也不算很贵拉, 毕竟是养个小人儿不是. 老大吃enfamil吃了半年, 换成了costco kirkland, 便宜不少 :P
看了这篇论文, 倒是让我心里安慰了一些, 不然总觉得怪对不起孩子的.

HMO是每个人有一个primary physician (also OB/GYN for women), 每次看病都得先看primary, 如果需要看专科呢她会给你开referral. PPO就是不管是不是专科，想看啥医生看啥医生。所以一般都是HMO便宜一些。生孩子呢，最好是先找同事或者HR问清楚，哪种更划算些，其实很难说的因为每个公司保险都不一样。算算我的是很好了，每次都是10块钱copay for the first doctor visit, 一旦怀孕确定了，直到生完都不再需要付钱了。 :-P

推荐味好美的川味粉蒸肉调料,猪肉(或小排)切块裹上蒸就可以拉,粉里面有调料,不用先腌肉.
8过这种有麻辣味道的东东,打俺们家孩子开始吃table food那会儿俺们家就不做了 :verysad:
白家的味道是不错,8过听说里面味精太多还是怎么的,吃多了可能不太好.

能臭美当然赶紧美,我生完老大千辛万苦恢复得差不多的时候也添了几件衣裳,可惜很快又大肚子了 :oops: 结果这几年利用率最高的就是这几件孕妇装了 :?
生老二心理上不是那么紧张了,可是担心的是老大能不能接受.她现在一个人都吵得不行,再加一个肯定是家无宁日啦 8)
还在给老大找daycare, 便宜的嫌不好,贵的又真贵,今天打电话的一个要差不多1200一个月呢 :( 这不是命运的大手马上就恶狠狠地捏上来了么.还每个月捏一回.拿孩儿她爹的话说,这可比上个state university要贵拉. :cry:
